10-1pm Mini Art Wings Summer Camp for Kids 2017

Mini Art Wings 2017 Summer Camp at Charity Wings registration is open! Charity Wings Art Center is located in The Quad, just north of the CSUSM campus. The space is welcoming and light-filled with coaches who are encouraging, fun-loving professional artists and teachers. Campers have a great time exploring design, mediums, and creativity!

Six weeks of art day camps are planned for ages 6-12.

Tuition is $135 per camper per week for Charity Wings members, $160 per week for non-members.

 June 20-22 Who am I?  Campers will expand their skills in sketching and drawing to create self-portraits;. They’ll also explore collage and mask-making.

June 27-30 How to Make a Rainbow Campers will explore new ways to mix colors as they explore color theory, find out how tricky color can be using glass and water, and meet up with artists Kandinsky and Albers.

July 11-13 Art Around the World  This camp takes students on a trip around the world and through history, touching on art movements such as cubism and expressionism, as well as aboriginal and Asian art. You didn’t know we could do all that without leaving San Marcos, did you?

July 18-20 Gadgets and Gizmos At Charity Wings, art meets craft almost every day. This week, campers become inventors and makers as principals of physics and other sciences become inspiration for art that moves.

August 1-3 TeenyTinyTheater First, campers design and create articulated puppets, using different kinds of moldable materials,. The next step is the scenery; the miniature stage, the backdrop. Finally campers will work together to create a video to tell the story they’ve brought to life.

August 8-11 Critter Camp This camp is perfect for animal lovers. Campers will become expert observers as they explore texture, movement and other art techniques while creating mixed media portraits of their favorite wild animal or pet.
